It is definitely official - although I don't know when for sure, Wade will be coming home this month of December. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he will not be moving on to Afghanistan, but preparing to head home.
This means I won't need to wear a t-shirt for the full year, it means I will have my friend at home with me for Christmas, it means that he will get to play with the snow-blower, the dogs, the new cat. It means lots of wonderful things and I look forward to welcoming him home.
But for today, I am still recovering from this cold/whatever I have. I rested this morning. This afternoon I picked up Jared and we had McDonald's food for a snack, worked on homework, read two chapters from "Little House on the Prairie", and played Jenga for about an hour. It was a great, fun time.
Then I fixed myself and all my furry friends dinner and we're resting.
Wade's travel plans are undecided or undetermined at this point. I'm not sure if we will skype tomorrow as usual or not. He's all packed and ready to leave as soon as he gets the word.
