September 1st and this morning the temper-ature shot up like it was the beginning of August instead. We had some thunder-storms pass over quickly this morning too. Another day at home and not much going on. Tonight I had a women's meeting (Women of Promise) at the Panera Bread restaurant. There were 8 of us. When that was done (8:00) I went over to Walmart, which is in an adjacent parking lot, and picked up a couple of things and then stopped at Steak & Shake for my coveted cheeseburger. Just the burger, no fries, no shake, and made it 'to go'. So now I've had my burger fix.
It's 9:30 now and it's still incredibly hot and humid (around 87 degrees). We will be having heat and high humidity until just after Sunday.
I'm looking forward to getting to talk with Wade tomorrow morning.
