Day 16

L-R: Rick, Willie, Raymond, Gail & Wade with Dixie & Bill
This picture is almost 50 years old.

I thought I would not hear anything from Wade today so I was prepared for that. This morning I went and had my haircut. I love going to get my hair cut. My stylist is a friend from church and is in my Sunday School class too. I love the opportunity to talk with her for 30+ minutes every 5 or 6 weeks. A good time to catch up and I get to hear about her two teenage girls. She also recommends good movies she's seen or good books she's read. This time she recommended "Secretariat" because it has a good message of success through determination and perseverance. I can't wait to go watch the movie now!
I had a great blessing today too. My car key fob has been slowly dying. The message on my dashboard has been saying: "KEY FOB BATT LOW". I didn't want to change the battery myself because I broke the last one I did. So I went to the chevy dealer's service department. He opened it up, soldered a part that was loose and put a new battery back in. I was expecting to pay, but he just said to go try it and to have a good day. Wow!!  What great service that is! Thank you God for the wonderful treat and surprise.
We had Sonshine Club after school today and we had almost 60 kids. As usual, they are wild, wild, wild. But I just try to keep them in rein a little and have fun with them too.
I took all my dogs for walks today. Both Angel and Sheba walked a little bit further than yesterday, but I try not to overdo or push them too much.
This morning I had the mindset that I wouldn't hear from Wade until probably Friday or later, but I did get a quick little email today. He wrote me from the USO in Ramstein Germany. He said when he got on the computers all the yahoo sites were in German. He was getting ready to get back on a plane to get to Iraq although I don't have any more information other than that. I'm grateful for the bit of information I did receive. Now I'm just at home enjoying a quiet evening in front of the television.
