Day 28

So, four full weeks have come and gone. Things are different and things are the same. I wonder how things will be when Wade comes back. Time creeps and sneaks and steals little bits and pieces. We just don't notice until the difference becomes too great. This picture is the first year in our house and we had an egg hunt. It was cold and you notice we didn't have our fence installed yet. I actually think we just drove over from Huber Heights to have the egg hunt here because when we actually moved in, the fence was up so the dogs could have a place to go.

I have no picture of Wade at Easter in 2009. Was that when his back was bad and he didn't go out as much? I can't remember. But here he is at the 2010 egg hunt. Again, it's cold weather. In two years we've had some changes but things look close to the same. One slight difference that is hard to see - Wade was wearing glasses in the first picture. He had lasik surgery before the 2nd picture so he's not wearing them anymore.
This year Easter isn't for another 3 weeks and possibly it will be warmer, but Wade is going to miss this one. Maybe he just won't show up in any pictures during the odd years. 
I had a nice Sunday. Went to Sunday School and was asked to share news about Wade. I made up a little index card with "talking points" and spent 2-3 minutes talking. People were given his email address and his mailing address. Many people asked about him and told me that they're praying for him. During the actual church service I was one of the adult helpers in Kid's Town. There were about 40 kids and I enjoy being up there with all those kids and I enjoy working with Patty because she is just so full of fun and energy. Totally my opposite!! 

Jason & Peggy fixed our midday meal and it was absolutely delicious. Jason made quiches patterning them after the ones he used to make in Washington State. There was one with chicken and broccoli and one with sausage, onions, and peppers. We also had peaches, pears, biscuits, and fruit sherbet for dessert. Excellent meal. Thank you both! 
I took my dogs for an extra long walk this afternoon. Kelly was out with me for an hour and then, when I took Angel for her walk, she tired me out with her pulling. I could only take that for about 20 minutes and I finished up my walking with Sheba and letting her wander around the yard. She did manage to scare Wally, the cat, up a tree but Wally made it back down after I put Sheba away. 
In an email this morning,Wade did mention that he went out with some Marines today to look at another base. He said that outside the base the area looks really rough and worn down. I wonder how that place will change in a year.
