Day 255

This morning I went in to Hannah House and took care of the bills and checking account. I wasn't feeling good enough to go on Monday - so I 'made up' my time today. No one was there so I got in, took care of business, and took off.
I had a quiet afternoon and prepared for my Wednesday night class. We had about 23 kids tonight and we worked on making the poinsettias I have been cutting out and getting ready to assemble.
My sample craft to show them tonight
Red foam pieces with glitter attached to the green foam
with a yellow pipe cleaner.
I had glitter glue and they were to squeeze a thin line along each of the 3 pieces and later in the evening we would assemble and make these beautiful poinsettias for them to take home. Well, try telling 8-10 year olds to squeeze just a little line not a big thick line.......................  didn't happen. So each and every piece was wet and wasn't drying. We couldn't stack them to assemble. Can you imagine what the parents would be screaming at us if we sent them home with smeared glitter glue all over everything??? So I told them we would assemble the flowers the next time we meet - (Nov 30th). It will be so much better then. They could use them as Christmas tree ornaments too.
The weather is getting colder - it was about 38 degrees according to the car thermometer driving home tonight at 9:00. I didn't take a coat tonight and I probably should have.
